Three bolts with coloured sleeves are shown to match 3 cards. A card is chosen and the colour remembered by the helper.

The three bolts are shown and dropped into a clear plastic bottle that is then held by the helper. When the helper opens their hand, the coloured bolt that matches the card is missing from the bottle.
